Never Outgrow Your Childlike Heart

Stick-O Wafers. Chocolate and Strawberry Flavor
I love these wafers. These are chocolate and strawberry flavored stick wafers. Piso lang naman isa so I spend ten pesos for them pag galante ako. Hahaha. :) So, this is a snack common among Filipino children. Matamis 'tas what I love about it is, it comes in different flavors. Hehe.

What makes you happy as a child? What do you remember when you are still young?  Kanina sa cellgroup, off topic lang, napagusapan namin, bakit nung mga 1 year old tayo, wala tayong conscious na maalala? Yung, sabi nga ni Rachel, parang nakapikit or tulog lang tayo then nagkaisip na tayo and we are finally conscious of the surroundings. We may see pictures of us nung baby pa tayo na nasa walker, all smiles, pero we cant remember if we ever do those things. Such a distant memory nalang.

Me, and my cousins Eula and Tonton
So sorry for the blurry pic. This was we when we were still so young. Ako yung naka ponytails. And the other two are my cousins: Eula (on the bike) and Tonton or Brother Anthony, if you happen to read my last post entitled " Leaving your Jar Behind - Friday Night Jam".

Me, Anthony, and Eula
And here we are right now! OMG. So fantastic. Hahaha. We've grown so fast and we've grown so beautiful, and for Anthony's case, handsome in the Lord. :) Marami mang nangyari recently, I still love them both. We may change and decide to go through life with our separate choices, we are like soulmates. Nandyan na yung bond, and walang makakasira noon. :)
We're like sisters. Only Tonton's not a girl. Haha.
People may grow. Our faces may grow old, but I do believe people shouldn't outgrow that childlike heart that they have. Yes as we grow up, maraming darating na problema, and with those na pagdadaanan natin, mag-ma-mature tayo. And some adult grow outgrowing the childlike heart that they once have and turning to a super mature kind of adult. What do I mean by super mature, yung tipong hindi na mag-e-entertain ng corrections or help from other people because of the pride that they have. "Matanda na ko, kaya ko na 'to." or "Matanda na ko for such things." This, I strongly believe na hindi dapat mangyari kanino man. We should maintain that childlike heart. Not childish heart.
"And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3
For God adores the heart of a child. Yung teachable, humble, loving, and faithful heart ng mga bata ang hindi dapat ma-outgrow ng kung sino man. Forsake all the childishness but not the heart of being childlike. And I also believe that if we stay that way, we will never get polluted by the troubles of adult life. We will never lose the joy and giddiness of things. We will still have the excitement to anything. Parang bata. And most especially, we will continue to be humble towards turning and calling into the Lord.

Yung bungisngis mo nung naka-lampin ka pa, let that stay in your heart. And you'll see, this world is still a happy place to live in. Stay happy kapatid! I pray that we may all have that childlike heart and never lose it. In Jesus Name. :)
