When God Pursues

"God's version of flowers and chocolates and candlelight dinners comes in the form of sunsets and falling stars, moonlight on lakes and cricket symphonies; warm wind, swaying trees, lush gardens, and fierce devotion". - Captivating (John and Stasi Eldredge)

 That is one my favorite line from my favorite book, Captivating. Nakakakilig di 'ba? It talks about how God pursues, or if we are going to talk about how He would show His love and affection, that would be an example, and that is an understatement. :) But the authors illustrated how God would pursue our hearts through His Creations. Or kung sa isang manliligaw, ganyan Siya manligaw. Captivating is focused on how God pursues a woman's heart. It mainly tells that God had been pursuing us, even men, through the things around us. His presence is everywhere. His voice is always around us. Sabi nga sa isang kanta: "You dance over me while I am unaware. You sing all around. But I never hear the sound". (Amazed by Phillips, Craig & Dean) And in every simple thing that He created, He tells us a message that we ought to notice.

So this post is all about how I enjoyed the day and believed that everything I encountered is an evident of Him pursuing me. :)

But first, lemme take a selfie. Hahaha. Sorry for this one. I just love the weather today. :) Kagabi kasi umulan then praise God, umaraw ngayon and medyo makulimlim lang tapos cool winds talaga. I was actually going to take a picture of the view of the trees from the balcony eh ang kaso hindi natuloy. Then, while waiting for my mom cause we'll be off to somewhere, I took selfies. Then the cool wind blew flipping my hair just in the right direction and made my reflection perfect for the camera. Like the wind helped for a moment. :D

The weekend market.

And this is where we are went. The weekend market. Folks came here for different reasons; be it good food, supplies & groceries, or just unique items that one could find. For us, we came here for the food. :)

The best Bibingka. Ever.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me present to you, the best Bibingka ever. :) Eto talaga yung food house na dinadayo namin ni mama. They got affordable but oh so delicious bibingka and other meals. Favorite ko rin yung palabok diyan. Bibingka is a rice cake with eggs inside cooked in a very fashionable way. I hope I got the description right. :)

OMG. Talo ang Zarks dito. Haha. Now, you would be asking if how God pursues through bibingkas? Of course He minds your favorite foods. And it matters to Him that we are eating right. And in my part, I've been so hard on myself with dieting and stuff. I know I have to let this one skip. :)

And that is the palabok that I am talking about. It is noodles topped with magic sauce. And pancit, that's what my mom ordered. :) Happy eating! Bon Appetit!

Paalis na kami when I saw these. We were at the plant sections. Meron kasing mga nagtitinda ng halaman and my mom is a big fan. I dont know why I never had the hobby of gardening like her, pero siguro kasi, I feared worms. Haha. So while naglalakad, I saw the white roses, and I took a pic. Walking some more, I saw a big bear inside a car. And there you could even see my reflection getting a pic of it.

And why is the white rose and big bear so important? Secret. Hahaha. I have to let this one be a secret. Basta, when God pursues, expect na kikiligin ka talaga. :) Love You, Lord. ;)

Incubation for the upcoming Encounter Retreat

 And just when I thought I got the best of my day, God always had His surprises. It is our incubation, or general briefing, for our Encountering God Retreat. I was so moved by our praise and worship. We were singing Still by Hillsong. Tinanggal ng Lord lahat ng mabibigat na pinapasan ko over the last weeks. And I know I will soar like an eagle, for I am a chosen generation.

Thank You Lord for this day. Kahit mga maliliit na bagay, talagang ipinapakita mong mahal na mahal mo kami. I pray na kung sino man ang makakabasa nito, he/she will also realize that his/her life is a manifestation of Your love because Jesus died on the Cross for them. And that kahit na maliit na bagay, You are able to show us that Your love is beyond measure. In Jesus name.
